A friend of mine is visually impaired and as a result some color schemes are better than others. She has an iPhone 4. Under IOS 5 her phone keypad was white numbers on black keys which she was able to see perfectly. Now since she updated to IOS 6 it is black numbers on white keys. This is very hard for her to see. Is there a way to change the colors on just the phone keypad? The rest of the phones colors are fine. I am quite technical so I am willing to make any necessary changes to the phone. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
The same setting in iOS 6 can be found in Settings>General>Accessibility>Invert Colors>On. This will change the entire color scheme of the phone, not just the keyboard. I'm not aware of any way to just change the keyboard colors.
I have also updated the IOS and was shocked with the keyboard colours. This has caused it to change from an easy read display to one that I find difficult. The invert colours is not a practical solution as it changes ALL colours and renders many other displays unreadable.
I am told that I cannot revert back to the previous IOS. The options available seem to be to wait for Apple to patch in the option to switch the display back, wait for a breakout to become available (what is there to lose - I need a phone that I can easily see!) or replace it with a competitors phone, of which there are an increasing number. For me, Apple is only an option if the product is suitable for my use. This now does not fulfil this requirement.
I agree. I have a harder time reading the new phone keypad. Please change it back to the style prior to iOS 6! The contrast of the color scheme is poor, especially on the small lettering.
I agree. The new keypad colors are harder to see. Apple please allow an option.
