in loading the new iOS 7.02 and being confident that all my previous settings would be maintained (maximum number of emails was set to 50) - I was surprised to find that I now have more than 5,000 emails and more than that I now cannot find any control to restrict the number of emails for the future
Is this an oversight ?
Is there a control ?
Do I have to sit here for a few hours and delete 4,980 more emails from my inbox ?
Downloaded the ios 7 a few days ago and have the same problem. Unless Apple have hidden it somewhere obscure, it appears that the control of the number of e-mails you have on your iphone has been removed which is a real pain and in my view a major programing oversight. I tried removing my main account and then reinstalling it hoping the control function would reappear but it didn't and I now have 7000 emails on my phone instead of 1500 I started with. At least by eliminating the account the e-mails disappeared so I am going to have to cut down the number of emails still stored on my email server and probably have to do that every few days, which is a real drag.
APPLE please write an update to fix this!
