Updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1.2 a few hours ago, and I feel that my iPhone 5's battery life has gotten ALOT worse than when it was on iOS 6.1.1 (although battery life was pretty bad there too). Phone was 100% after a full battery charge, 95% after recieving a 3minute call (WiFi & cellular off). Played Subway Surfers for a few minutes, battery went down from 95% to 89%. Phone is now currently on 71% with ---- USAGE: 35 minutes STANDBY: 1hour
-NOTIFICATIONS / PUSH NOTIFICATIONS ARE ALL OFF EXCEPT FOR MESSAGING AND PHONE CALLS
-BRIGHTNESS AT ITS LOWEST
-NO ACCOUNTS SYNCED ON MAIL
Also, phone is a bit warm. This hasn't happened with the previous iOS updates. I updated through iTunes by the way.
Same with me. Still have battery issues on my iphone 5 with iOS 6.1.2.
Don't charge your battery to 100% try 50% sometimes. Apple has a 1000 cycle at 100%
after updating my iPhone 5 to ios 6.1.2 battery consumption is quite a bit worse is it possible that with each update instead of improving the performance of the battery instead of the worst, I ask the Apple to provide as soon as possible to resolve this battery problem since after the firmware update can no longer return to the previous ios version. Thank you and hope for the best ......
I charge my battery to 100% at least once every two weeks... battery life was never good with my iPhone 5 since I purchased it a month ago, but with the recent update, the battery drain is just horrendous.
Probably, but a bunch of iPhone 5 users who have updated to iOS 6.1.2 are seeing battery improvements. We're probably just a few of the unlucky bunch who's battery life got worse with the update. :-(
No one know what is being put in a update. Who know what they use in a update might not be good for battery life. it is impossible to correct a battery problem with a update.
