I have a friend currently visiting the US and the unlocked 5s is substantially cheaper than here in Norway (where it's not even available at the moment).
I've read around and the last model that seemed to work best here was the Verizon CDMA which is unlocked at factory and supports all gsm/lte bands.
Is this still the case with the 5s?
Thanks in advance. :)
cdma are always locked to the carrier as far as I know
plus not sure about Norway but cdma in the rest of europe is pretty sparesome I live in Denmark and here they are stopping cmda 100% because there only were 500 users on the cdma network
so get gsm
warrenty is not world wide so if you buy the phone in usa and there is a problem you have to return it to usa for warrenty issues
Yes, I understand that CDMA is not a viable network in Norway but it's been said that the Verizon model was the best option for Europe as besides CDMA it supports all the gsm and lte networks and comes factory unlocked. I just need to know if this is still the case or whether there is a better option for the 5S
