Are these songs from the iTunes store or another source? If from the iTunes store, were they purchased using a different iTunes account than the one your phone is currently signed into?
No, the vast majority of my itunes library is songs that I burned from CD. Certain songs are stuck on my iPhone even though they are not selected and don't appear in the iTunes syncing window. Other songs won't add no matter how many times I sync. ***
Just noticed the toggle for "sync only selected songs and videos" so I'm gonna try that
I can see the songs I don't want on the "on this iPhone" screen but there's no way to delete them. Can't delete them off the iPhone directly either. And checking the "sync only selected songs and videos" box did not help
Noticed that all the unwanted songs have a logo of a cloud with a downward arrow next to them! Someone please reply!!
That means they are not on the phone, but in iTunes. If you do not want to see these songs, then go to Settings>Music, and turn off the toggle for Show All Music.
That worked! THanks dude!
It's very curious why just these certain songs would appear, isn't it? Like I have a huge iTunes library why were the same Copeland and Dragonette songs stubbornly showing up but nothing else? Oh well who cares!
These are probably songs that you have either deleted in iTunes, or deleted from the phone that were synced to the phone at one time. This is how it determines to put the cloud symbol beside them. iTunes Match is that way as well. Of course, if you would have mentioned the cloud earlier, it would have ended earlier too. Glad you got it sorted.
I celebrated too soon. There are still two stubborn songs that I can't get off no matter how many times I sync. No cloud icon on these. Any idea how to scrub these from my iPhone?
Furthermore, I've noticed that iTunes refuses to add certain albums to the iPhone no matter how many times I carefully select it and press update! sheesh what am I doing wrong??
