I'm having similar issue.
Just activated my new iPhone5c, it was working prefectly with it's original iOS 7.0.0
I've updated to iOS 7.0.2 and now my phone is stuck in restore mod.
I have triad the steps at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 a lots of times, each time it fails at a diffrent point.
It usaly fails where I can see the apple logo and a progress bar and I tunes is saying "waiting for iphone", its stuck like that for a while and then theres an error.
Sometimes it does pass to the next stage and I can see the ball was filled very little but then its just stuck at that point.
